With Vietnam’s varied climate what is the best advice for packing? Packing for Vietnam is all about smart layering. The country has different climate zones so you can experience a little bit of everything. I recommend lightweight breathable fabrics like cotton and linen for the warmer southern regions. Be sure to bring a light jacket or a cardigan for cooler evenings in the north especially in Hanoi and for the air-conditioned coach. Comfortable walking shoes are non-negotiable.
