DAYS 1 & 2 GOODBYE CANADA, CIAO ITALIA!

Enjoy a private car ride to the airport. Travellers departing from the Toronto airport are assisted with their check-in. Meet your dedicated Group Guru and fellow travellers and fly overnight to Venice. After freshening up at your hotel, board a private water taxi to the quaint islands of Murano and Burano. Admire the world’s most exquisite blown glass in Murano, before touring the colourful fisherman houses in Burano. Return to Mestre for our welcome cocktail. Overnight in Mestre. (L,D)

DAY 3 EXPLORE VENICE

Walking tour of the main attractions of Venice, including the Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, the Ponte Dei Sospiri and the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica. Explore the city at your own pace or join us for an optional mask making activity and a visit to the local Squero (at no additional cost). Overnight in Mestre. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 VERONA & ROMEO AND JULIET (212 KM)

Travel to Verona and enjoy a panoramic tour of must-sees, including the Basilica di San Zeno, Arena di Verona and Piazza del Erbe. Romantics get ready, you will see Juliet’s balcony at the Casa di Giulietta. On to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, where you will stay for the night. (B,L,D)

DAY 5 DISCOVER LAKE GARDA

Today is dedicated to the Italian lake district. Visit the resort town of Sirmione, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages, before journeying along the spectacular coastal roads of Lake Garda. Overnight in the Lake Garda area. (B,L,D)

DAY 6 SAVOURING EMILIA ROMAGNA (362 KM)

Spend today touring Emilia-Romagna and savouring the region’s gastronomy. Discover the secrets of creating the perfect Parmesan cheese (a big part of it is tasting!) then continue your culinary adventure at a Prosciutto farm before driving to Tuscany. Overnight in Montecatini. (B,L,D)

DAY 7 COLOURFUL CINQUE TERRE (294 KM)

Today you explore the picturesque Cinque Terre National Park. Follow the coast of La Spezia, then set out to explore the village of Riomaggiore at your own pace. Hop on a boat and set foot in the fishing village of Vernazza on the way to Monterosso before returning by train. Overnight in Montecatini. (B,L,D)

DAY 8 LEANING TOWER & SUBLIME OLIVE OIL (104 KM)

Journey to Pisa and visit the iconic Leaning Tower, Pisa Baptistry and Camposanto Monumentale. Learn about the care that goes into making some of the world’s finest olive oil at a local production farm, complete with a tasting lunch. Overnight in Montecatini. (B,L,D)

DAY 9 BEAUTIFUL FLORENCE

Onward to Florence to visit many of its famous landmarks, notably Il Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Free afternoon, or join us for optional tour of the Uffizi Gallery (at no additional cost). Overnight in Florence. (B,L,D)

DAY 10 SIENA & ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME (298 KM)

Head to Siena for a guided tour of the city. Delight awaits with Chianti and artisanal olive oil tastings at a local vineyard. Enjoy the scenic route to Rome where you will spend the night. (B,L,D)

DAY 11 ROMAN ADVENTURE

Explore the capital of what was the most influential and expansive empire the world has known. Admire must-sees such as the Coliseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Overnight in Rome. (B,L,D)

DAY 12 THE VATICAN & MICHELANGELO

Discover the holy “city-country” of The Vatican. Pause for a moment inside St. Peter’s Square before marveling at Michelangelo’s famous work inside the fresco-clad Sistine Chapel. Tour the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica. This afternoon, you choose: free time or join us for an optional visit of the catacombs (at no additional cost). Overnight in Rome. (B,L,D)

DAY 13 POMPEII, THE CITY OF ASH & SORRENTO (268 KM)

Travel to Pompeii, once preserved in time under 20 feet of ash. Tour the famous ruins and learn about the city’s tragic downfall. Then, continue to the picturesque seaside resort town of Sorrento for your overnight stay. (B,L,D)

DAY 14 AMAZING AMALFI COAST

Discover the famous Amalfi Coast while visiting Positano and Amalfi, where every view deserves to be its own postcard. Pause along the way to visit the tiny haven of Minori and unleash your taste buds during a visit to a local mozzarella and limoncello producer. Return to Sorrento for our farewell dinner in an authentic setting. Overnight in Sorrento. (B,L,D)

DAY 15 DAY TRIP TO CAPRI

Today you set sail to Capri. Discover the towns of Capri and Anacapri, very different even if they share a name. Bustle through Capri’s streets lined with hotels, restaurants, and distinguished boutiques. Relax on the quiet Anacapri plateau perched above the main city, and marvel at the panoramic views. Overnight in Sorrento. (B,L,D)

DAY 16 ARRIVEDERCI ITALIA, HOME SWEET HOME

Fly from Naples to Canada, with a same day arrival. Your driver will meet you at the airport to help you with your luggage and drive you home. Grazie! (B)
