I am just home from the South Africa trip. I could not have imagined a better trip of a lifetime. The entire experience exceeded my expectations and has created lifetime memories and friendships! Our guru Rasha was top notch and ever available and fun! Our African guide Deon was exceptional and demonstrated professionalism as well as an extensive knowledge and teaching ability. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in this country. I will use Approach again.

We have travelled extensively, but this South African tour was our first Approach tour. We were very impressed with the accommodations, restaurants and excellent variety of activities. The game drives were amazing, and the variety of wildlife and scenery we encountered exceeded our expectations. Our guru, Rasha, was wonderful and our local guide, Deon, was very knowledgeable and informative. The logistical arrangements were excellent, especially when we crossed multiple international borders on the same day. We would not hesitate to recommend Approach to our friends.

We took the Grand Tour of Ireland with Approach Tours and enjoyed every aspect of it: itinerary booklet plus other gifts prior to going, an excellent group guru Josée who brought out the cookies and whiskey just when people needed a treat, hearty pub lunches, a well-paced tour of 2-4 places every day, great travel companions, and the Irish music and dancing. A memorable trip!

The basic tour itinerary covered all the must-sees of the country, and it was complemented and enriched by the optional excursions offered by our tour guide Mirko and group guru Stacey. Mirko’s love for Italy, including its food, music, and all things Italian spread to us, and his wide network of resources and contacts who hosted us enhanced all of our experiences.  Stacey was unstoppable in ensuring everyone in our group was well taken care of, and having the best trip possible. She was well organized, so helpful, so cheerful, and kept us in good communication with her and the rest of our group. It’s not surprising that our group became quick friends. Finally, one aspect of the trip that we appreciated was the door to door all-inclusive aspect of the trip – no surprises, and many delights.

Our trip to Italy was amazing, very much a trip of a lifetime. We learned about Italian time as we explored Italy on our walking tours. Rasha, our Guru and Eliza, our guide in Italy, were consummate professionals. They often knew our needs before we did ourselves. No issue was too small or too big for them to solve quickly and always with smile. You could tell the tour was months in the making, as our days and activities ran so smoothly. Never having to touch your suitcase was a blessing. As advertised, everything is taken care of for you. I would highly recommend this tour.

Most amazing tour of Ireland with Approach Tours. Everything was completely taken care of. All we had to do was show up. We had the most thoughtful and caring Guru named Morgan. If anyone needed anything at all, she was there. She also was very kind and threw in some extras that we were not expecting. Best National guide ever named Ray, and our experienced bus driver Eddie. This trip was absolutely amazing fully packed with an endless amount of tours, free time. Interesting sites excellent touring with a very well rounded tour, Director and tour guide who had an incredible knowledge on everything we were going to see what we were going to do and just the history of Portugal. The hotels were excellent very well located great service and the meals were unbelievable! Our bus was excellent. Our on-site tour person, Clara was phenomenal for her knowledge, her direction guidance, and enjoyable to be around.
I’m not a huge group tour person, but this was just so much fun and so well organized. It changed my opinion! Highly highly recommended.

Everything about this adventure to Portugal was magnificent. The views, the people. Our group guru, Sue and our local guide, Idalhia were terrific. I loved the all-inclusive benefits. We had the pleasure of checking off one of our most important bucket list destinations with our recent “Enchanting Portugal” trip. It went above our expectations. We traveled the length of Portugal and to the most westerly point of continental Europe. The last thousand years of what is now modern-day Portugal was portrayed to us through castles, churches, monasteries, city avenues and narrow sloped streets. Our engaging trip Guru, Stacey, made every day run smoothly from hotels to meals to excursions. Our Portuguese Tour Guide, Augusta, was a treasure trove of knowledge and her humorous storytelling kept us fully engaged. My recent 22 day trip to South Africa with Approach Tours was nothing short of MIRACULOUS. Beyond the wildlife on numerous safaris, visiting local villages, tasting local cuisine and visiting Victoria falls, Cape Town and Johannesburg were just some of the highlights. When we first signed up for the Ireland tour we were impressed by the reviews, the tour schedule and all that was promised. We were excited, but a bit skeptical. Boy, did they ever deliver what was promised and then some! Both the tour guru Morgan and the national tour guide Ray made the trip super informative, fun, and worry-free. There were unexpected extras coming our way sporadically throughout the tour. The scenic places we visited, the culture we experienced, and the people we met were just spectacular. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. I had a fantastic time. Everyone was very nice. Even though I was travelling alone I didn’t feel alone. I can’t say enough about our Guru, Rasha. Anything I needed she was right there. She was a tremendous help.

Can not say enough positive things about Maggie our guide through Ireland! She was so knowledgeable about the history of the country – something very much of interest to me! She was also so helpful – finding me a place to buy fly fishing ties – at the drug store in Waterville of all places! My grandson was so appreciative! Maggie, along with Karrie our Group Guru and Tony our wonderful driver went out of their way to make this trip memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the full deal in Ireland – North and South!

We had a great time touring the circumference of Ireland, including Northern Ireland, by bus. Our wonderful Group Guru kept everything running smoothly along with an outstanding national guide and a very competent and friendly coach driver! This was our first international travel experience and we felt well looked after by the Approach team. We particularly enjoyed the variety of sights and experiences along the way as well as the great natural beauty of the country. We will be able to sift through memories and photos of ancient burial grounds, breweries, churches, jails, city streets and beautiful architecture for years to come!

Just home from a wonderful tour of Italy! From the moment I got in the limo, Approach Tours took care of every detail. What made this trip amazing was the added touches – before leaving we received a goody bag (backpack, a beautiful bound book giving us day by day itineraries and luggage tags). Another unexpected gift from Approach Tours, a free helicopter ride over Victoria Falls after our coach had broken down in the middle of nowhere through absolutely no fault at all of the tour company. They also gifted us with a wonderful, exceptionally knowledgeable guide, Dube, and a warm, caring Guru, Lori. Dube brought South Africa to life , pity he didn’t join us in Zimbabwe and Botswana – we didn’t get to learn much about those countries. He also took us to a homestead in Eswatini in which we were able to give back to a very needy family- one of the highlights of the trip. Considering the price of the trip, I was very impressed with the hotels and especially the lodges we stayed in. The safaris were just what I hoped for – we saw all the big 5 plus their babies and plenty more besides. I was travelling solo and was lucky enough to be in a very friendly group of people. I would highly recommend Approach Tours.

An incredible trip of a lifetime!!! This was our first fully guided tour and it did not disappoint! The landscape of South Africa and the 3 other countries (Eswatini, Zimbabwe, and Botswana) we visited were spectacular. We appreciated learning more about African culture and history. The accommodations (hotel and lodges) and meals made the tour more authentic. We had an amazing Group Guru from Approach Tours (Lori) and a very knowledgeable and caring local guide (Dube) who made sure all in our Canadian group of 30 was safe and well cared for. This tour is for ACTIVE seniors and is a full schedule and might not suit people who prefer a more relaxed type of tour or North American style of tour. We fully enjoyed this bucket list tour and are looking to plan our next tours (Morocco and Egypt). We feel we received excellent value and quality for this trip and we highly recommend Approach Tours!

This South African adventure was the trip of a lifetime. The variety and number of experiences was exceptional as was the level of organization. The Group Guru Laurel and guide Deon as well as the group of travellers made this a particularly memorable experience.

This was a well planned tour throughout South Africa, into Eswatini and Zimbabwe. We saw so much more on this tour than we thought. And there is no way we could have done this on our own. Our tour guide was fantastic. Deon provided so much context on South African culture, history, life in general along with the regular info on the sites we saw. Hotels were very good also. All meals included. Can’t think of a better way to tour the country.

Wonderful trip for my first tour with a group. It was well organized & exceeded all my expectations. Laurel, our Guru, was simply amazing. Together with our local guides she took care of all the details & let us know what would be happening (down to a weather forecast for the next day). We shared an amazing 20 days learning about South Africa, seeing all of the Big Five on safari & enjoying our time with fellow travellers. Just came back from the Signature Italy Tour April 17 2024. Enjoyed a wonder Trip that was well planned, and managed. Great itinerary, accompanied by an outstanding company Canadian Group Guru Rasha, a native Italian National travel manager Giuseppe who was most knowledgeable and helpful and on top of all that, often another local guides for many specific locations. All inclusive with good accommodations and meals and transportations. Experienced diverse regional Italian cultures. Attention to details to ensure every participant’s needs. We certainly are looking forward to another trip with them.

I am so glad I chose Approach for my first taste of Italy. It was delizioso! The well planned, all inclusive tour made for an active, worry free experience. We selected Approach Tours not knowing what to expect. Everything was absolutely worry free. Home pick up to airport, from airport to home and everything in between was seamless. From the start of our Italy tour to the finish…. Group Guru Rash Salem (a.k.a. “Momma Bear”), was simply the best. Rasha was always ready to make the Italy experience the best for everyone. Always going above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our local guide Giuseppe was wonderful as well. A great representative for Italy. Giuseppe’s interesting facts about Italy and his great sense of humour was enjoyable. The many historical sites and building we visited were astonishing. Our cheese, wine, olive oil and limoncello tasting were some of the most delicious culinary delights of the trip. We had great conversations with all of our fellow travellers and had many laughs along the way. The dilemma now is…. what Approach tour do we sign up for next?

This trip was a trip of a lifetime. I had always wanted to see Africa but as a single apprehensive traveller who had never been on a tour before, I didn’t know where to begin. A friend mentioned Approach Tours. When I read the itinerary for South Africa and Victoria Falls it ticked a lot of boxes for me – penguins, game drives and Victoria Falls. Everything was included which made it so very convenient for me. We had a hiccup at the beginning when KLM cancelled the first leg of the trip the day before we were due to depart but Approach was able to get us on the same flight the following day. Karin, our Group Guru kept us updated on what was happening. We didn’t miss out on any of the trip as our tour guide, Deon was able to organize everything so that the people who arrived as scheduled didn’t see the same thing twice and we didn’t miss anything. The accommodations were great, from top notch hotels, to glamping tents and a private game reserve. Deon was an outstanding tour guide. I enjoyed hearing about the history and culture of his homeland from him. He and Karin made a great team, making sure that every stage of the trip ran smoothly. It would be hard to pick a favourite part of the trip as everything on my bucket list was ticked. I saw most of the Big 5, missed the elusive leopard, although others on the tour did see one. It is hard to describe being surrounded by a herd of elephants as there isn’t anything to compare it with. It will be always be a favourite moment for me. I made 30 new friends and enjoyed sharing our stories and pictures of all the special moments. Thank you Approach, Deon and Karin for fulfilling my dreams.

Just returned from an APPROACH Signature Italy tour and I fulfilled a bucket list trip. The Group Gurus Rosemary and Francesca went above and beyond to meet and exceed my very high expectations! I travelled solo in a mixed group of 20 including couples and solo travellers who were not only inclusive but whom I now consider friends. We hit all the hotspots but also enjoyed the “surprise” visits to family owned farms and vineyards for delicious cuisine and of course wine! I will definitely recommend Approach to my friends. Every detail was looked after and not having to worry about tipping was a big plus for me!

Portugal was magnificent in the sites and architecture that we experienced. Our international tour guide was a walking book of knowledge and our Approach Guru took care of all our needs and extra interests we had. Everything was professionally done by Judite and Kathleen. All the travellers were caring and pleasant and our bus drivers were tremendous. I would recommend this tour to one and all.

Terrific value for your money and I recommend Approach Tours’, Enchanting Portugal tour, to anyone. The all-inclusive pricing and included travel medical insurance was convenient and stress free. Group Guru, Christiane, provided daily updates and always with a smile. Our local guide was knowledgeable, entertaining and patient. Add Portugal to your list, you won’t have any regrets.

The whole experience was absolutely top-notch. The meals, the hotels and the tour guides (both local and permanent) were remarkably informative and helpful. I should, however, reserve the highest praise for our guru & guide, Rasha Salem and Francesca. They went above and beyond what could have been expected – and we did expect a lot. Their ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances; closed roads, rough sea and incredible crowds was superlative. The choice of venues and activities was, obviously, well thought out and our individual requests were catered to.

Wonderful experience! Approach all-inclusive tours are very professional making travel stress-free. They pick you up and deliver you to the airport where you are met by your trip guru who accompanied us from start to finish. We also had a local guide in Italy who was with us from start to finish. Her job was to get us from one place to the next as well as keep us informed about our day and local sites while we travelled. Expert local guides were also used at most attractions. I joined as a solo traveller and had a fabulous holiday. Our group guru Rasha and our Italian guide Franschesca helped to make the trip far beyond what I expected. From incredible sightseeing (including wineries) to amazing local lunches and lovely hotels, I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed the 16-day tour.
