How physically demanding are the tours? Our tours are designed for active adults who are excited to explore. A typical day involves a good amount of walking often over varied surfaces like the charming cobblestone streets you’ll find in historic city centres. You don’t need to be an athlete but a comfortable level of mobility will ensure you can fully enjoy all the planned sightseeing from exploring the Alhambra to strolling through Madrid’s grand plazas.
Will I have any free time to explore on my own? Yes a great itinerary always balances expertly guided activities with moments for personal discovery. We ensure you have free time built into the schedule. This is your chance to revisit a shop that caught your eye wander through a local neighbourhood at your own pace or simply find a quiet café to sit and soak in the atmosphere. You mention “small groups.” How many people are typically on a tour? We believe a smaller group creates a better travel experience so we cap our tours at around 30 travellers. This size is intentional. It’s large enough to create a fun and social dynamic but small enough to ensure you receive personal attention from your guides. It also allows us to access charming hotels and restaurants that can’t accommodate larger coach groups giving you a more authentic and intimate feel for Spain.
