It is indeed possible to use your CPAP machines on long overnight flights at the beginning and end of your tour.
The distilled water used by your device is exempted from the liquid restrictions at airport security. In order to have a CPAP device screened, you may choose to either:
- Bring a clear plastic bag to place the respiratory device into for screening.
- Leave the attachments (tubes and mask) inside the case and place the main electronic unit only in a bin.

Please Note
A previous version of this FAQ mentioned you were required to provide a doctor’s note to travel with your CPAP machine. This guidance has been changed by the CATSA, and now documentation to support your medical needs or condition is not required; however, if you feel that it would help ease your screening, it should be presented to the screening officer along with your medically necessary items.
