You are welcome to join and Approach Tour from anywhere in the world. While most of our travellers are Canadians, our tours are English-speaking and it’s common for American or UK passport holders to join our tours.
Here are a few things to know if you’re joining one of our tours from outside of Canada, or if you’re joining from Canada but are a citizen of another nation (you don’t have a Canadian passport):
- We’re unable to arrange flights for you from outside of Canada. If you live near the Toronto airport (YYZ) — such as if you live in the Nothern US — you may be best off arranging your own flights to meet us in Toronto, thus keeping our included flights between Toronto and our destination. If you’d prefer to meet us at the destination, you can also choose to purchase your tour as “land only”, and arrange your own flights.
- We’re unable to include our home pick-up service outside of Canada. When you book your tour, select “no” when asked if you “would like to use our included home pick-up service”. We’ll credit you $75 CAD in place of this service.
- We’re unable to include emergency medical travel insurance if you’re not a Canadian resident. When you book your tour, select “no” when asked if you “would you like to use our included emergency medical travel insurance“. We’ll credit you $100 CAD in place of this service.
- We may be able to arrange your travel visas if you’re using a non-Canadian passport. As part of an Approach tour, we handle all visas for Canadian citizens when they’re required. We may be able to include non-Canadian passport holders as part of this service, depending on the destination. Most countries we visit (especially in Europe) don’t require a visa application be completed for American or UK passport holders. If you’re unsure if you need a visa, book your tour and we’ll let you know what’s required.
