Iconic Greece & the Cyclades

First trip with Approach and first “solo” trip couldn’t have been better. Loved the all inclusive aspect. Everything was provided by Approach Tours who looked after all details, even sets of suggested exercises to ready us for the trip! Our Guru John Bejermi, who was fantastic with a wonderful sense of humor and a talent for bringing people together, led us from a glimpse of ancient Greece with a whirlwind tour of well-chosen museums and archaeological sites to visits of modern day wineries and olive oil production facilities. Hotels were excellent and our Guru made sure we had our room keys within minutes of arrival, all meals were delicious, local guides were extremely knowledgeable, and our bus drivers handled switchback roads and all our luggage with ease. Thanks to John and Approach. I’m excited about my next tour in the fall with Approach.

Our trip to Greece and the Cyclades was wonderful. Approach looked after all the details and planning and packing was made easier with their helpful guide book and useful gifts which we received ahead of time. It was great to meet our “Group Guru” Cheryl on a video chat beforehand. We have travelled a lot and know how hard it can be to organize and plan an itinerary in a foreign country. There are so many historical and archaeological sites in Greece not to mention a variety of beautiful regions and Islands that it can be overwhelming. This itinerary was full but the beauty of the sites and lovely accommodations made it worthwhile. We really loved Greece and if we decide to go back we now have a feeling for where we would go and what to expect. We appreciated how well organized this tour was and having our wonderful “Group Guru” helping us through gave us peace of mind.

Just returned from Greece with Approach Tours and had a fantastic time. Loved that all was included: flights, meals, tips, entrances to sites, guides, ferry rides and of course hotels. This is the best way to travel. Everything was looked after. Luggage was handled by hotel staff and the only time we had to look after it was on the ferry or at the airport. The Group Guru from Greece was beyond exceptional! We were so fortunate to have her travel with us. The itinerary was well thought out with visits to popular spots as well as unique places. Loved the monasteries and the Island of Kefalonia. Had the best tour leader, John, with us the entire time and he made sure we were all well informed of the day’s events and was available to assist if needed. He also had a great sense of humour! Our only issue was traveling with Air Canada which is not our preferred airline.

This was my first trip with Approach Tours and it will not be my last. Our guide that came with us on mainland Greece enthralled me with her historical knowledge and wonderful stories about the Gods and mythology. We toured sites that were 4000 years old on Santorini, travelled ferries to Kefalonia and Mykonos. Hotels ranged from full resorts with swimming pool and beach to cosy family run hotels like Apollonia Hotel in Delphi. John, our Guru, kept us on schedule and entertained. I have arrived as a solo traveller and left with a bunch of wonderful new friends.

We booked the Iconic Greece and the Cyclades, 2 week tour, leaving May 7. Included was home pickup and drop off by limousine, round trip airfare, all transfers, luxury coach, ferries, meals, tips and gratuities. Our Group Guru, John, met us at the airport check-in introducing himself and giving us directions on where to check-in and meet our fellow travellers, 24 in all including our Guru. He was with us the entire trip, informing us of our itinerary for the next day and keeping everything moving smoothly and on time. We met out local Guide, Nenna once we arrived in Athens. Nenna was an exceptional guide, her knowledge, experience and ability to keep your attention with her stories of Greece, its history and mythology, was captivating. Our tour included 11 cities and 3 islands, covering all the historic highlights of Ancient Greece. We highly recommend Approach Tours for this terrific tour of Greece.

The trip to Greece was very enjoyable. It was well organized, moderately paced and interesting. The views were fantastic. I am strongly recommending it to my friends.

We’ve just returned from a 14 day tour to Greece and the Cyclades. It was a trip beyond our expectations. John our Tour Guru had our itinerary so well planned and kept everyone on track. He went over & above to make sure all of us were well taken care of. Our country guide Nenna’s knowledge of the history of every site they brought us to was exceptional and she told the greatest stories. We saw places that we would have never seen if we had tried to do this on our own. We’ve come home with a lifetime of memories and a great group of new friends. We highly recommend Approach Tours and look forward to planning our next trip with them.

Wow, everything was great. Every day was amazing and an adventure. The hotels were beautiful and the meals were fantastic. The tours were fantastic. So well-organized, so glad we did it. We loved Caroline (our Group Guru) and Harris (our National Guide in Greece). Fantastic trip! You see so much. A great vacation. Caroline made sure we were all ready and kept us secure. Loved all the tours, bus, ferry and flights. I wouldn’t change a thing. We were thrilled with the service, the excursions, and food.

Highlights for me include Olympia, lunches, Acropolis, Santorini, and Mykonos. Nice to have rest and leisure time in Mykonos and a glass of wine at the pool. I also always had fun times on the bus!

Everyone was very friendly and easy to talk to. Joe Ennis (our guru) was absolutely fantastic and professional. Thank you so much! The food was great!! The sites we saw were right up my alley. I think just getting to know the people in the group was my favourite. I am not usually the most outgoing guy, but everyone was great.

The highlights were seeing so much of Greece and the fabulous food and wine! Our Group Guru, Joe, added humour, a sense of security and professionalism to our tour. He was very sensitive to all of our needs and wants, and always made sure we were taken care of! Our National Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, it was a pleasure to have her as our guide!

We are again most impressed with the Approach office staff as they were always so eager to answer our pre-tour questions and sent us very useful gifts. Hats off to you guys!

We covered a lot of ground. Found out amazing things about Greece that I did not know 🙂 A great Group Guru! Funny and engaging, really connected with us. Loved all the excursions, will definitely book again!

Just returned from Greece with our Group Guru, Caroline. An amazing trip with a great group of people and guides to walk us back to the times of the Greek gods. Lots of activities and learning experiences that could not have run any smoother. Hotels were great, food was terrific and fattening. Kudos to the approach team for putting this one together!
