DAYS 1 & 2 GOODBYE CANADA, CIAO ITALIA!

Enjoy a private car ride to the airport. Meet your fellow travellers and fly overnight to Venice. Upon arrival, meet your Group Guru before embarking on a boat ride to the colourful island of Murano. Discover its long-standing tradition of glass-making with a visit to a glass factory. Get settled into your hotel before joining your group for a welcome cocktail and dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Lido di Jesolo. (L,D)

DAY 3 EXPLORE VENICE

Walking tour of the main attractions of Venice, including the Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, the Ponte Dei Sospiri. Venture inside the iconic Saint Mark’s Basilica and marvel at its striking Byzantine mosaics before taking the afternoon to explore the city at your own pace. Dinner and overnight in Lido di Jesolo. DAY 4 VERONA & ROMEO & JULIET (212 KM)

Travel to Verona and enjoy a panoramic tour of must-sees, including the Arena di Verona and Piazza del Erbe. Romantics get ready, you will see Juliet’s balcony at the Casa di Giulietta. On to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, where you will stay for the night. (B,L,D) View image gallery

DAY 5 DISCOVER LAKE GARDA

Today is dedicated to the Italian lake district. Visit the resort town of Sirmione, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. After a tour of the area, explore at your own pace. Weather permitting, take a picturesque cruise along the spectacular coast of Lake Garda. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a panoramic drive around Lake Garda. Overnight in Verona. DAY 6 SAVOURING EMILIA ROMAGNA (362 KM)

Spend today touring Emilia-Romagna and savouring the region’s gastronomy. Discover the secrets of creating the perfect Parmesan cheese (a big part of it is tasting!). Continue to Montecatini where you’ll spend the night. (B,L,D) View image gallery

DAY 7 COLOURFUL CINQUE TERRE (294 KM)

Today you explore the picturesque Cinque Terre National Park. Follow the coast of La Spezia, then set out to explore the village of Vernazza at your own pace. Hop on a boat and set foot in the fishing village of Monterosso before returning to La Spezia by train. Overnight in Montecatini. (B,L,D) View image gallery

DAY 8 BEAUTIFUL FLORENCE

Onward to Florence to visit many of its famous landmarks, notably Il Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. Free afternoon, or join us for optional tour of the Uffizi Gallery (at no additional cost). Overnight in Montecatini. (B,L,D) View image gallery

DAY 9 LEANING TOWER (104 KM)

DAY 10 SAN GIMIGNANO & THE ROAD TO ROME (298 KM)

Delight awaits with wine and artisanal olive oil tastings at a local vineyard. After lunch, with your tongue amused, head to San Gimignano, otherwise known as the “Medieval Manhattan”. DAY 11 THE VATICAN & MICHELANGELO

Discover the holy “city-country” of The Vatican. Pause for a moment inside St. Peter’s Square before marveling at Michelangelo’s famous work inside the fresco-clad Sistine Chapel. DAY 12 ROMAN ADVENTURE

Explore the capital of what was the most influential and expansive empire the world has known. In the morning, embark on a guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Imperial Forums. DAY 13 POMPEII, THE CITY OF ASH & SORRENTO (268 KM)

Travel to Pompeii, once preserved in time under 20 feet of ash. Tour the famous ruins and learn about the city’s tragic downfall. DAY 14 AMAZING AMALFI COAST

DAY 15 DAY TRIP TO CAPRI

Spend the day in Sorrento or set sail to Capri. Discover the towns of Capri and Anacapri, very different even if they share a name. DAY 16 ARRIVEDERCI ITALIA, HOME SWEET HOME

Starry-eyed, say goodbye to your fellow travellers who opted out of our included group flights and make your way to the airport to embark on your return flight(s) from Naples to Canada.
