Enchanting Portugal

Scroll

Flanked by Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal seems to enchant anyone who has made a trip along its 1,800 km of pristine coastline. With picturesque vineyards, jagged cliffs and hilly cities, history can be found on every cobblestoned street, and the Portugal experience is different for each traveller. Warm people and delicious food are central to every visit. If salted cod and fresh sardines are everyday staples, the Pastéis de Belém pastry is now an institution in its own right.

This was an amazing holiday in Portugal and the two people that made it so amazing was our group guru Rasha and our historian Idelia! ! They took care of everything!! I learnt so much about the country, saw so much about the country. Rasha helped everyone with their luggage, anyone who had a bit of a walking distress. She took care of their baggage…

Excellent service! The service was impeccable. Our wish was their command.. you couldn’t ask for better service if you needed anything they made sure you got it and as I said in my opening statements, there was always plenty of water on the bus. It was extremely hot the entire time we were there, so the water was easily obtained. Free time was fabu…

I found the tour too intense and too structured. We started each day at 8:00 am and got back to the hotel at 8:00 pm almost everyday. There was very little free time and if there was free time it was no where we could experience Portugal life on our own. I would not do another Approach tour

The Portuguese guide was okay lacked personality and very structured. The food was okay but always at large tables with no choice. The Canadian guide was more interested in the tour than her passengers.

This trip was an amazing discovery. Travelling all around Portugal, it provided magnificient views of the Douro Valley, tasting great wines and ports. Discovering ancient towns such as Obidos, Tomar, and Monsarez. Visiting some of the nice beaches from North of Lisbon to South in Lagos. A country where you could visit again and again.
